"Digital Downloads Tax" - NOW Available on iTunes!

Taxes on all digital downloads is no news to the Amazon users, but now the state government is doing the same thing on iTunes. Wisconsin will collect 5% sales taxes on Internet downloads of music, games, books, ring tones and other video entertainment. There are other states that collect sale tax for digital downloads, but none of these states border Wisconsin. If this trend spreads to bordering states, Minnesota is most likely to also have this law. I am not a huge iTune user, but I am sure some of my friends would be upset if Minnesota government also targets iTune users.

At the same time, there is a larger group of people who are upset by another new tax. Many smokers are considering to quit smoking after a new tax will be charged on tobacco products.
